Here is a quick example of geometry and order flow on weekly time frame.
Traders Process Visual Data Better
I am always urging OF-G software subscribers to try graphic depictions of order flow data, rather than old school numeric or textual displays. And there is a reason for this: Our brains are much more efficient at processing pictures and shapes than at processing text. Here is a quote from the article, Humans Process Visual Data Better:
“Visualization works from a human perspective because we respond to and process visual data better than any other type of data. In fact, the human brain processes images 60,000 times faster than text…”

Traders, What’s In Your Probability Stack?
A few years back, I read Dilbert Guy Scott Adams’s book How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big. It popularized the concept of the “talent stack”. Adams asserts that you don’t have to have world class skills to be successful in life, you just need to acquire adequate competence in a few complimentary skills.
How does this relate to trading? Every successful trader I know possesses a “talent stack” of skills he or she has honed over years in the markets. Some of these are life skills like self discipline or attention to detail — things which might apply to any career. But others are trading specific, understanding of technical methods or techniques which guide their trading. These market-specific skills are what I can one’s probability stack. Discrete Market Timeframes
One of the most important building blocks for understanding market action is the idea of discrete market analysis. By this I am referring to analysis derived from discrete tools (as opposed to continuous tools.)
Discrete data can be counted.
Continuous data must be measured.
Transferring Insider Bars Settings the Easy Way (Video)
There are a number of instances where you may wish to transfer your settings. For example,
- If you would like to replicate a chart for a second symbol
- If you are switching from the Insider Bars product to the OF-G Suite product on the TradingApp Store, or vice versa (Different products use different indicator names.)
- If you are switching from a TradingApp Store subscription to an ELD subscription (Here also, different indicator names are employed.)
Insider Bars (and all the OF-G products) have a lot of settings. Manually recreating your chart would be a long and tedious process. Fortunately, there is an easy way to transfer your settings automatically. Continue reading “Transferring Insider Bars Settings the Easy Way (Video)”
It’s Time to Say Goodbye to Windows 7
I know many traders like to hang on to their trusty old Windows versions. I was almost able to skip Windows XP completely, with my old friend Windows 2000 Professional. And today, many people continue to hold on to Windows 7 in the same way. Unfortunately, we have reached a point where this presents problems. Continue reading “It’s Time to Say Goodbye to Windows 7”
